Integrated Simulation Environment for Autonomous Vehicle Development

We designed, developed, implemented, and operated a comprehensive simulation environment for UTAC (Millbrook Proving Ground), one of the UK’s largest automotive test centres, supporting the development, testing, and validation of ADAS and autonomous vehicle algorithms in control, planning, and perception. Built on a modular, flexible architecture, the platform integrates with commercial and open-source simulation toolchains, real-time HIL systems, high-fidelity driving simulators, and live data from test rigs and tracks. Covering a wide range of automotive use cases, demonstrating the core integration principles that underpin KAN-Do today.

Distributed Co-Simulation Across CAM Testbed UK

As technical lead and system integrator for the Zenzic interoperability programme, and working in partnership with Ford, UTAC, SMLL, Applus IDIADA, HORIBA MIRA, WMG and the University of Leeds, we developed a scalable distributed simulation environment connecting multiple geographically separated test facilities. The project demonstrated advanced co-simulation, interoperability, and real-time data exchange capabilities that continue to shape the architecture of KAN-Do.

Integrated Chassis & Powertrain Vlaidation Lab

We delivered a cutting-edge chassis simulation lab for an OEM, integrating four advanced test rigs for electric powertrain, brake-by-wire, steer-by-wire, and active suspension with a high-fidelity NVH driving simulator. The system covers the complete simulation cycle, from Model-in-the-Loop (MiL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) to Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), Actuator-in-the-Loop, and full Vehicle-in-the-Loop (ViL) testing. Built on a next-generation zonal E/E architecture. The programme showcased the benefits of a unified validation framework across virtual and physical development domains for next-gen SDV platforms.
